I babysat my niece Molly today...we painted fingernails, watched Strawberry Shortcake movies, looked through stickers and buttons...but when it came time to take her picture she wanted nothing to do with it.

Today we went to the Steele County Fair, this horse liked the kids scratching him and petting him so much he was falling asleep (or so it seemed.)

Happy Birthday Tom!

233/365

The beginning of Tom's pistaccio nut cake...he insists I make it every year for his birthday. I'll frost it tomorrow since it needs to be refrigerated. I'm throwing him a little party so we'll have lots of people to help eat it!

It's been raining for two days, non-stop, so Buster and I played a bazillion card games and watched Nim's Island.

Wreck This Journal - Keri Smith. These journals are all the rage...I got three of them for the kids...they're going to "wreck" them, then give them back to me for Christmas. Can't wait to see them when they've been completely wrecked!

Buster is finally riding his bike all by himself...today was the first day with no "training wheels". Way to go Bus Boy!

227/365

This pic is for Saturday, August 15, 2009. My first twin size quilt...just need to put it together and send it off to be "quilted". (I'm too lazy to do it myself!)

226/365

Since I got my POS computer to load pics I'm catching up on the last few days...This is for Friday, August 14, 2009. Matt is practicing his "90 degree back-in", his driver's test is on the 24th. Funny, we weren't required to do this back when I got my driver's license!

Thursday, August 13, 2009

225/365

No picture of the day today...I can't get anything to load on this POS computer of mine...most days I can't get the (bleeping) thing to work at all. Never mind that my husband has 15 degrees in computer related fields, I still can't get him to do anything about this (bleeping) thing!

I'm not sure where this plant came from...I think a bird pooped out a seed or two.

One of my newest creations...

Monday, August 3, 2009

215/365

My dogs smelled so ripe that I just HAD to give them a bath...Bantha wasn't too happy about it and Trixie liked it even less than he did. But now I can be near them without gagging!

214/365

Here is my loot from the Cambridge Flea Market...I have to admit, I would have bought alot more but I started to run out of cash so had to be selective. I also have to admit I was kind of buying with "our cabin" in mind...vintage pillowcases, a cute bread box, a little yellow ducky for the bathroom and a cracked and chiped lidded bowl...for whatever. Kind of reminds me of the Boxcar Children books Lisa and I read when we were little. And if "our cabin" falls through I can always use them here...

213/365

I drove an hour to a fantastic flea market in Cambridge today and this is the car I followed for about 10 miles...not until I was about to turn onto the highway home did I notice his trailer hitch! Yes, it's a very creepy doll head! I love it!
